Her teacher thought that was a splendid idea and that there was actually going to be an election for class president, and Grace quickly decided she wanted to run. She soon fins out that she is running up against Thomas Cobb who is very popular. Every student in the class got assigned a state and they got as many electoral votes as the state they were assigned. Thomas did not do very much campaigning because he found out the boys had more electoral votes than the girls. While Grace worked her butt off and asked all her classmates what they wanted from a president. In the end it came down to one boy, who happened to represent The Equality State (Wyoming), You will have to read it find out who won!

Activity: Grace For President does a very good job in detailing the campaign process. An activity for this book would be to after reading it, have a class election of your own. By doing you own classroom election you can have the student learn what its like to either run or be a voter in a real life election and also learn the history of the US Presidential Election.
