One day, their father buys a new Cadillac. Everyone in the neighbourhood admires the car except the mother, who was expecting to save the money for a new house in the future. This situation will provoque that the father wants to visit the grandparents that live in Missisipi. During this travel, Lois and Wilma will discover how dangerous can be the South depending on the color of the skin.
Activity: This book would be perfect use as an assigment in order to use later in class to discuss a history lecture about the situation of african americans and other ethnical groups in the past.
